Mountain View Pilates open September 13th! Same location!
Sue Butkus will be opening Mountain View Pilates, formerly Laughing Bodies on September 13th.
The location of Mountain View Pilates will be where Laughing Bodies was as well as in Sue's personal studio in her home in Faifield Glade.
Sue will have her own web site shortly but in the meantime you can visit this website for information on pilates and what is happening at the studio.
Make sure to check the schedule page for times and days that she will be offering pilates.
What is different about Mountain View Pilates and Laughing Bodies?
The location of the studio is the same - although we will have limited access to the large studio, therefore classes may be smaller in size.
Sue Butkus will be the owner of Mountain View Pilates. In addition to teaching in town she will offer private sessions out of her home in Fairfield Glade and aqualates at the community center.
Rebecca has ownership of the name Laughing Bodies and will continue to work under that name. She will use the Mountain View Pilates space to offer yoga classes, a teacher training and periodic workshops. Rebecca will begin to travel and teach in other parts of the country in the year 2011.
Because there are 2 businesses being offered in the same space class cards will no longer be offered. You can still take both yoga and pilates classes but will need to purchase 2 seperate series.
Acupuncture will still be offered on Fridays with Yong Oh.
Store items in the Bhakti Boutique are now at 40% off. The store is closed down so now is a good time to purchase those last few items!
In addition we still have various pieces of furniture for sale; the oak cubbies, wooden ironing board, folding chairs, etc.
These items will be held on the carpeted area of the large studio for a few weeks after we re-open.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin, sterile single-use needles at precise points along the body to promote natural healing and restore balance throughout. The World Health Organization estimates that more people worldwide have been treated with acupuncture in the last 2000 years than with all other health modalities combined.
According to traditional Chinese theory, disease and pain represent an imbalance within the human body. This imbalance can result in a blockage or stagnation in the flow of Qi or vital energy which flow through energy channels called Meridians. It is this blockage that leads to dysfunction. Acupuncture needles are used to unblock any obstructions along the meridian, rebalance the regular flow of Qi, and restore health.
Yong Oh is a licensed acupuncturist in TN, GA and NY, and is a board certified acupuncturist by the National Certification Commision for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He has a clinical background which includes training and practice in both Chinese as well as Japanese styles of acupuncture, working at a busy clinic in New York City’s Chinatown, and has studied at the Wang Ju Yi Center for Clinical Channel Theory Research in Beijing, China. He currently shares a practice at OM Integrative Medicine Center in Chattanooga, TN. http://omintegrative.com/
