About Rebecca and Laughing Bodies

Rebecca Dennis developed a unique yoga style over the span of a 35 year Hatha yoga practice and two decades of teaching in New York, Tennessee and California.  Her method, Laughing Bodies Yoga, evolved naturally, inspired by the belief that an inherent joy resides in us all. Through a consistent practice of yoga, we can remove the obstacles that interfere with this joy and become free to experience our own Laughing Body. Rebecca incorporates poetry, music, movement and humor to demystify esoteric teachings and make yoga more relevant in our present culture.

Bringing yoga to the masses is Rebecca’s passion. She successfully designed stress reduction programs for notable corporate clients such as the New York Times and the Gillette Corporation. She teaches established yoga teachers, yogis, yoginis and aficionados at all levels. Her teaching experience spans yoga studios, health clubs and hospitals.

Her Tennessee yoga and Pilates practice won number one status for ten consecutive years. She has led nearly two dozen yoga retreats in the U.S. and Central America.

Formally trained in performing arts at New York University, Rebecca also offers courses designed specifically for actors, musicians and dancers.
