Do I have to be in shape to take Yoga?
You do not have to be flexible, thin, or fit to start yoga. No one is too stressed out or too stiff to benefit from this system. Yoga is low impact and designed to help anyone return to the health they enjoyed in their youth. All that is required is your willingness to find out what yoga has to offer!
What’s the difference between Hatha yoga and Vinyasa yoga?
In Classical Hatha yoga, the yogi typically returns to a neutral state before transitioning to the next pose. In Vinyasa yoga, several poses flow together and link to the opposite side by taking a sun salute.
Where are classes held? Most classes are held at the client’s home or workplace. For groups and workshops, Rebecca can arrange a studio at a location convenient to you. Current weekly studio class times and locations are noted alongside their descriptions.
How long are classes?
Classes and private sessions generally run 60 to 90 minutes. Workshops range from one to five hours.
What do I wear?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. Pants should have an elastic waistband. Shoes and socks are not worn in class.
Do I need any yoga equipment?
For private and semi-private sessions, it is not necessary to purchase anything for your first session. After the first session Rebecca can offer suggestions for what is needed and even order the equipment for you if you like.
